ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
Farrar Aerospace's engineering capabilities include: CAD design and CAD/CAM programming using the most "state of the art" computer software. Our engineering staff has more than 30 years of experience in design and fabrication of complex aircraft assemblies.
CNC MACHINING - SUPPORTED BY CAD/CAM
Our CNC Machining Centers are capable of machine up to 120" X 34" X 40", Aluminum, Titanium, Stainless Steel, and Super Alloy in the form of solid block, forged block, die forging and casting.
SHEET METAL FORMING
Our Sheet Metal Shop is equipped with various presses, brakes, and shears including a computer controlled hydraulic press. The shop is capable of forming up to 96" in length and 0.125" thickness of Aluminum, Titanium, Stainless Steel, and Super Alloy with various tooling, such as male and female dies.
CERTIFIED WELDING - GTAW
Different material such as: Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Titanium and Super Alloy can be welded using custom fabricated welding fixtures. Our Argon Chamber can be used to weld Titanium Components up to 72" X 30" X 30" in size .
ASSEMBLY INCLUDING SHEET METAL AND MACHINED COMPONENTS
Our fabrication and assembly capabilities are shown in the CH-47 helicopter hoist assembly, Door assembly, Duct & Case assembly and A-4 landing gear assembly.
BRAZED HONEYCOMB ASSEMBLY
Farrar's highly skilled personnel is capable of fabricating complex Stainless Steel, Titanium and Inconel Honeycomb assemblies including machined and/or sheet metal components.
TOOLING DESIGN AND FABRICATION
Farrar's machine shop designs and fabricates complex tooling including but not limited to forging die and sheet metal forming die.
